Wizards swap Sealy for allocation money

Veteran midfielder traded to San Jose

The Kansas City Wizards acquired allocation money Monday from the San Jose Earthquakes for forward Scott Sealy. Sealy, 27, joined the Wizards as a 1st round pick in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft out of Wake Forest University. Sealy has two goals in 13 games this season.

"We would like to thank Scott Sealy for his three plus years of service to the Wizards organization," Technical Director Peter Vermes said. "We wish him the best in San Jose and with the rest of his career."

Sealy, a native of Chaguanas, Trinidad, scored 28 goals in 88 games (65 starts) over the last four seasons for Kansas City. He has represented Trinidad and Tobago 22 times in his international career, scoring two goals.
