Wizards community appearances: Nov. 4-9

Kansas City Wizards Media Relations
Kansas City Wizards players and team mascot Dynamo the Dragon will be out and about in the Kansas City area over the next week, highlighted by an appearance from team captain Jimmy Conrad Saturday at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Defender Matt Besler will appear Wednesday at a local high school to discuss his career path and his background with Sports Medicine staff members. Goalkeeper Kevin Hartman will then appear at local elementary schools twice next Monday, reading his children's book Boots Saves the Day.

Who: D Matt Besler
When: Wednesday, November 4; 1:15-2:00pm
Where: Blue Valley CAPS, 14950 Newton, Overland Park, KS
What: Matt Besler will be visiting with a Sports Exercise class at Blue Valley CAPS, talking about how his choices have led him to the position he is in today and about the experiences he has had with Sports Medicine staff in his career.

Who: D Jimmy Conrad
When: Saturday, November 7; 1:00-3:00pm
Where: Nebraska Furniture Mart, Kansas City, KS
What: Conrad will be participating in an in-store signing at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Come by to say hello or get an autograph.

Who: Mascot Dynamo the Dragon
When: Saturday, November 7; 6:30-7:30pm
Where: Memorial Hall, Kansas City, KS
What: Dynamo will be attending the 5th Annual Guns and Hoses Tournament to help raise funds for local charities. He will interact with attendees and keep everyone excited during the Police vs. Fire boxing match.

Who: GK Kevin Hartman
When: Monday, November 9; 2:00-2:45pm
Where: Lewis Elementary, Kansas City, MO
What: Kevin Hartman will talk about the importance of reading and then read the book he wrote, Boots Saves the Day, to a group of children at Lewis Elementary. Following the book reading, there will be a chance for the students to ask questions and get autographs.

Where: Fox Hill Elementary, Kansas City, MO
