MLS:

2008: Returned to the Wizards midseason from German club 1860 Munich. Scored the game-tying goal at Columbus July 17 in his first game back with KC.
2006: Recorded 5 goals and 2 assists in 19 games (18 starts). Missed a portion of the season due to time spent with the U.S. National Team for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
2005: Recorded a career-high 10 assists. Missed 10 games while with the U.S. National Team during the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
2004: Enjoyed a career year, setting career-highs for games started, minutes played, and points (27). His 10 goals also matched a career-high. Named to the Western Conference All-Star team, his second All-Star selection (2002). Drew the foul at the top of the box that lead to Igor Simutenkov's game-winning free-kick vs. Chicago to win the 2004 U.S. Open Cup.
2003: Acquired by the Wizards in a trade with the Chicago Fire prior to the season. Missed significant time throughout the year with injuries including a torn meniscus in his right knee, an ankle injury and a fractured rib.
2002: Suffered a torn ACL in his right knee vs. Kansas City on August 14 and missed the remainder of the season.
2001: Despite only playing in 3 games due to a left-foot stress fracture, he scored 3 goals.
2000: Appeared in 25 games, starting 20. Was the U.S. Open Cup's second leading scorer with 6 goals and 2 assists, including the "golden goal" in the semifinal. Played the final 20 minutes of the 2000 MLS Cup against Kansas City on October 15.
1999: Appeared in 28 straight games before tearing his left ACL, which kept him off the field for 6 months.
1998: Played in 14 games (4 starts). Scored 1 Open Cup goal and drew a penalty kick in the U.S. Open Cup Final vs. Columbus to help Chicago to its second championship. Tallied his first assist vs. Kansas City on August 29. Played in all 5 of Chicago's playoff games, starting 3, for a total of 262 minutes.

NATIONAL TEAM:

Has appeared 52 times for the U.S. National Team, scoring 9 goals and adding 5 assists as of February 1, 2008. Two-time member of U.S. World Cup team (Germany '06, Korea/Japan '02). Made 2 appearances for the U.S. at the 2002 World Cup and assisted on Brian McBride's game-winning goal against Mexico that propelled the U.S. into the Quarterfinals. Scored winning goal in 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup final and named in 2-0 win over Costa Rica. Played in the first game of the final WC qualifying phase on February 28, 2001 vs. Mexico, scoring a goal and assisting on another in the U.S.'s 2-0 win. Scored first international goal on October 25, 2000, a 2-0 win vs. Mexico. Played every minute of the U.S.' 6 Olympic games and scored 2 goals at Sydney 2000. Recipient of the first-ever Chevrolet/U.S. Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year Award in 1998.

Named to the Soccer America All-Freshman team in 1995 at South Carolina.

YOUTH:

As team captain, led Parkview High School to the state title his sophomore and junior seasons. Earned MVP honors in his final 3 years. Also earned all-county and all-state honors in his final 3 years. Named the Georgia State Player of the Year as a senior. Played for Atlanta FC Lightning and the EFA Mustangs U-15 team.

PERSONAL:

Married wife Angela in November 2000. The couple has three sons (Tyler, 6, Owen, 4 and Gavin, 5 months). Majored in Business Administration at USC.
